The Kite Runner (Interview)

CBC’s Words at Large has a really great podcast interview with Khaled Hosseini about The Kite Runner on January 31, 2007 (no important spoilers). Slavery, War, and Canada Reads:

The Khaled Hosseini portion of the podcast begins at about 25:00 and lasts about 21 minutes. If you liked The Kite Runner, listen to it. If you haven’t read The Kite Runner, why are you wasting time reading my blog when you could be reading that instead?

I guess I was supposed to post my comment in the link above the post, not below. Oops! See Harry Potter for my Kite Runner comment. And just to be consistent in my fumbling, I’m really excited about the latest Harry Potter book!

Hey, wow, thanks poodlerat, I will definitely take a listen to it. Are you enjoying CBC’s “Canada Reads”?

Are you not posting anymore? I was looking forward to seeing how your world lit challenge worked out!

@booktraveller: I will be posting again, once I have a chance to do some reading. I’ve been seriously swamped the past couple of months, to the point of cutting off my extra-curricular reading and my online time pretty much completely.

But I’m partway through The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, and enjoying it very much, so I should be writing again soon!

@Lotus Reads: I didn’t get the chance to listen to Canada Reads while it was on the air, but I have the debates on my ipod to listen to when I get the chance. I am really looking forward to having free time again…
